Holiday Food Drive 2020

By November 25, 2020 No Comments

With the holiday season right around the corner, the staff at Spring Hill Veterinary Clinic (SVC) would like to do our normal food drive like we have done in the past but with COVID-19 we have to limit those in our building so we are unable to collect actual goods for the food pantry this year. If you would like to donate actual items you can contact the food pantry directly. The one we have used before is F.I.S.H. (Friend I Shall Help) Food Pantry in Carpentersvilleclick here for more info on the food bank.  If you would like to give a cash donation to the food pantry, you can drop it off or mail it to our office. Dr. Goelitz on behalf of Spring Hill Veterinary Clinic will match dollar for dollar the amount of cash donations that our clients bring or mail to us. This would greatly help many unfortunate families in our area who surely can use help. We will collect donations thru December 19, 2020 so we can get to them before the Holidays.

In addition to the food drive,  as we have done before, we will take cash donations for Lutheran Church Charities. For every cash donation we get, we will also match dollar to dollar as a token of our appreciation to Lutheran Church Charities (LCC).  LCC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit ministry to help support Christian human care ministries of the Church. They also have Golden Retriever dogs that use their skills to open opportunities to touch people with mercy and compassion. The dogs are specially trained comfort dogs to interact with people in ways that provide a bridge for compassionate ministry to take place. For more info visit http://lutheranchurchcharities.org/  You can then look at the organization as a whole or you can click on the section for the dogs. You can also check out all the wonderful services these dogs preform through out the year. We at SVC work very closely with several of the LCC dogs!

In addition anyone else wishing to make a monetary contribution to LCC will receive an equal amount of credit (up to $20.00) on their SVC account for any future services.
